The Ayurveda Experiment Facilitator training is a 16-week course that offers training to those who would like to mentor others in completing their own Ayurveda Experiments. This training certifies Facilitators to mentor those in Phase I of the experiment. Subsequent trainings will be offered as the next 2 phases are released.
To become a Facilitator of The Ayurveda Experiment participants must already hold a designation as a Yoga Teacher, Mental Health Counselor, or other certification as a Holistic practitioner.
The Ayurveda Experiment is a twelve week self-guided program offered in book form that guides readers in the process of incorporating Ayurveda into their lives. Through the development of conscious consumption, readers learn basic principles of Ayurveda and work on strengthening agni and balancing the three doshas.
The Ayurveda Experiment, published in April of 2021, provides Yoga Teachers and other helping professionals a tool to use with clients and students to achieve balance.
The program, though self-guided, is also an easy way to incorporate Ayurveda into Yoga Teacher Training programs, and is perfect for group settings or to use with clients on a one-on-one, individual basis.
In this Facilitator Training, Varsana will lead Facilitators through their own experiments, while at the same time leading discussions and answering questions related to how Facilitators can guide others through the process.
Facilitators need not have a prior background in Ayurveda to lead others in their experiments, though throughout the training, Varsana is available to help educate Facilitators on any area of Ayurveda that they would like to help them facilitate others in their experiments.
The Ayurveda Experiment begins with the introduction of some basic principles of Ayurveda and then guides readers in the process of setting intentions and goals. Then, two weeks are spent on strengthening agni, and two weeks on balancing each of the three doshas. Finally, participants are guided to establish new routines, and then they complete their experiments by filling out an Ayurvedic Wellness Questionnaire.
In this course, Varsana will lead a weekly group during 1.5-2 hours, depending on the size. Participants start their own experiments on week 3 of the course, and complete their experiments on week 13. The weeks on either side focus on the role of the Facilitator and organizing/leading groups.
Participants can attend in person or online, or a combination of both. Attendance and participation in the course is mandatory to achieve certification. Those who wish to use The Ayurveda Experiment in their trainings must complete the entire course and receive certification in order to advertise that they are a Facilitator of The Ayurveda Experiment.
During the course, participants have access to wholesale pricing for the cost of The Ayurveda Experiment and the supplies required. At the end of the group, participants can buy supplies at wholesale cost to offer to their groups.
After completing the course, Facilitators can advertise that they are certified to run The Ayurveda Experiment and to mentor others.
Included in the course are 2 hours or consult with Varsana to use for questions when they begin facilitating.
Further support packages are available if needed.
*Note: due to the time commitment this course requires, participants should choose to take it when they will be able to dedicate and average of 6 hours a week in addition to course time.
